I entered 2014 huddled with friends in the Senate Square in Helsinki underneath the gleaming white Helsinki Cathedral and a sky of fireworks. The whole trip was wonderful (many photos await developing) and I was ever so thankful for my latest purchase, a hefty parka from Pop Boutique which I found in the excellent shop Rhoda in Crouch End. I opted for a medium with plenty of room for the layering I knew would be inevitable in a Finnish December. Even now I’m back in relatively mild London I can hardly bring myself to take it off.
